Install Clockworkmod (CWM) Recovery

ClockworkMod Recovery (CWM) For Galaxy Ace s5830

 

The first thing to do after rooting any Android Phone is to install CWM Recovery..

 

ClockworkMod Recovery (CWM) is a replacement recovery option for Android devices, made by Koushik "Koush" Dutta.

 

 

Unlike the stock recovery, CWM Recovery is able to entirely replace the device's primary Android OS ("flashing a new ROM"). Once installed, CWM can be accessed by turning your phone off, then by holding down some device-dependent button combination as it is turned on (say for example the Power+Menu button).

 

You can now take your device beyond Gingerbread to ICS or even Jelly Bean and make your phone totally customizable!!

• Thing you must remember is, TO ROOT your Galaxy Ace s5830  before installing this ClockworkMod recovery.

• You can download ClockworkMod recovery 5.0.2.6 for your Galaxy Ace by searching in Google for: download recovery-clockwork-5.0.2.6-galaxyace-fix.zip

• After downloading, Copy the recovery-clockwork-5.0.2.6-galaxyace-fix.zip on your SD card, and then, switch off the phone.
• The next step, go into Recovery mode, that is Reboot by pressing Home + Power button till you enter into recovery mode.
• Now go to apply update from SD card, using the volume keys to scroll and the home key to select.
• Then select the recovery-clockwork-5.0.2.6-galaxyace-fix.zip.
• After the install is complete, restart your device.

Congratulations, you have successfully installed ClockworkMod Recovery 5.0.2.6 on your Galaxy Ace S5830.

Now you can freely proceed to install any custom Rom you may feel like.
